Urban Honey Co.

Local Footscray resident, Lyndon Fenlon, has a vision that people should be able to source the healthy golden food, honey, from within three kilometres of where they live.

Lyndon lives in Footscray, a most unlikely place you might think for such an acclaimed health food such as honey with its heavy industrial history. However Footscray also has many old gardens heavy with roses and other flowers full of nectar.

Part of Lyndon’s vision is to reduce the carbon footprint while being able to access one of nature’s wonder foods. He is working on setting up a chain or network of local hives so eventually everyone will be eating local honey. The honey he produces he delivers in a rickshaw.

Inherit Earth has been involved in this project on a number of levels. See Urban Honey co.
